Hardscape Installation
Travertine is the premium choice for Mesa outdoor spaces — and for good reason. It stays cooler underfoot than concrete or standard pavers in direct Arizona sun, it looks elegant, and it ages beautifully. But it requires an installer who knows the material.

Hardscape Installation
Travertine is natural stone, and it behaves differently than manufactured pavers. It's porous, so it needs to be sealed properly to prevent staining. It's softer than concrete pavers, so the base and setting method matter more. And it comes in natural variations of color and texture, so layout planning is critical for a result that looks intentional rather than random. We've installed travertine patios, pool decks, walkways, outdoor kitchen areas, and entryways throughout Mesa and the East Valley. Our process includes full excavation, compacted aggregate base, and a mortar or sand setting bed depending on the application. We select each piece for consistent color tone and thickness, dry-lay sections before setting to check the pattern, and finish with a penetrating sealer that protects against staining while maintaining the stone's natural, non-slip texture. Travertine's biggest advantage in Mesa is temperature — on a 110-degree day, travertine stays 20-30 degrees cooler than concrete. That's the difference between a pool deck you can walk on barefoot and one that burns your feet. We use French pattern layouts for a classic look, or running bond and herringbone for a more contemporary feel.
